Meet the Therapist:

My Specialties & Background

My Work

Much of my clinical work focuses on supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, trauma, and life stress. Each person I meet carries a unique story and lived experience that can’t be generalized or boxed in. Common areas I work with include anxiety and phobias, burnout, depression, mood imbalances, relational difficulties, spirituality, self-image and identity concerns, life transitions, and career development.

My goal is to understand clients as they most want to be understood—creating a space where they feel seen, supported, and hopeful. I advocate for each client’s well-being and capacity for growth, helping them reframe and rewrite their stories in ways that feel true to their lives right now.

I integrate humanistic, existential, and psychodynamic approaches with evidence-based therapies, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). My work also incorporates mindfulness-based stress reduction and DBT skills to foster emotional awareness, resilience, and self-compassion.

My Belief

I believe that each of us already holds the capacity for wholeness within. Life’s journey is about reconnecting with that core self—learning to embody our truth, respond with compassion, and create meaning in the present moment.

We’re all doing the best we can with what we know and have at any given time. I don’t believe in shame or blame, but in cultivating the freedom and response-ability to choose differently, moment by moment.

My Background

I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology with a focus in Existential Psychology from Seattle University and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington State. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from New Zealand, along with post-baccalaureate diplomas in Health Sciences and Sport & Exercise Science.

Before entering clinical work, I spent more than a decade as an outdoor educator in New Zealand, working with teenagers and young adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. These experiences deepened my understanding of how connection to nature, culture, and community supports emotional and spiritual well-being and continue to shape my holistic approach to therapy today.

My Self

Many of my own stories and healing experiences are rooted in nature. The mountains, ocean, and forests of the Pacific Northwest are where I feel most grounded and restored.

Outside of my practice, I remain a lifelong adventurer, learner, traveler, and dog dad, sustained by my love for the natural world and the people and communities that surround me.
