Meet the Therapist:

My Specialties & Background

My Work

My work as a therapist draws from a psychodynamic framework that integrates trauma-informed care, narrative therapy, and relational psychology. This approach allows me to explore what might be happening unconsciously for my clients and within the therapeutic relationship itself.

The connection between therapist and client is the foundation of my work. Building trust and safety allows the deeper, often hidden parts of the self to emerge and be understood. I also pay close attention to the stories that surface in therapy—because stories can unlock the unconscious and help connect the threads between symptoms, experiences, and meaning.

Therapy can be vulnerable and unfamiliar at times, so I aim to equip clients with tools for self-support—grounding practices, insight work, and emotional regulation skills—to use throughout the week.

My Belief

I believe there’s no better time to begin therapy than right now. Whether you’re seeking understanding, healing, or a space to be fully seen, therapy offers that possibility. We all need connection, care, and a safe place to explore what’s underneath. I view the therapeutic relationship as central to healing—it’s where insight, trust, and transformation unfold.

My Background

I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (MC61432881) in the state of Washington.

My path to therapy began in the sciences—I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Spring Arbor University and worked in laboratory and oncology settings. During that time, my curiosity about human behavior and my own story led me toward the inner world of psychology.

Throughout my graduate studies and internship, I focused on shame, childhood trauma and abuse, complex trauma, and sexuality—themes that continue to inform my work today.

My Self

I’ve always been drawn to understanding the root causes beneath our symptoms and struggles. My own therapeutic journey helped me connect the dots between my experiences and behaviors, leading to a profound sense of clarity and self-understanding.

That moment of insight inspired me to become a therapist—to walk with others as they uncover their own depth, meaning, and possibility for healing.
