Meet the Therapist:

My Specialties & Background

My Work

Entering therapy takes courage. I see it as a shared exploration in a safe and welcoming space where we can look closely at how you experience life and the emotions that arise along the way. Each therapeutic relationship is unique, shaped by the trust and curiosity we build together.

With care, we can examine where you are now, how you got here, and where you would like to be. We might also notice how your ways of coping once protected or served you, and how those same patterns may now limit your sense of freedom or authenticity.

My Belief

William Stafford once wrote, “If you let your thought play, turn things this way and that, be ready for liveliness, alternatives, new views, the possibility of another world—you are in the area of poetry.” I believe you are also in the area of therapy.

My practice is psychodynamic and relationally focused. Poetry has always guided my understanding of the human experience, offering insight and consolation. I believe our early attachments shape the ways we connect with others, and that through trust and reflection, therapy can help expand our capacity to live more fully and openly.

Who I Work With

Individuals ages 21+

My Background

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. My background includes counseling university students, fifteen years of teaching, and decades of experience leading mindfulness and spirituality practices for adolescents and adults.

Throughout my teaching career, I often collaborated with parents, colleagues, and mental health professionals to support students’ emotional and academic well-being. I have also led mindfulness retreats in the North Cascades, where nature and reflection come together to inspire healing and renewal.

My Self

I find peace in hiking and time outdoors. Years ago, I climbed Mt. Hood, and at the summit, my greatest thought was about returning safely home. Wendell Berry’s words have long stayed with me:

It may be that when we no longer know what to do
we have come to our real work,
and that when we no longer know which way to go
we have come to our real journey.
The mind that is not baffled is not employed.
The impeded stream is the one that sings.
