My Work
As a clinical social worker, my therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I specialize in creating a non-judgmental environment where clients can safely explore thoughts, emotions, and challenges. I believe in the inherent strength of each person and work to empower clients to find their own paths toward growth and resilience.
I work with adults, teens, couples, and families, affirming all genders, identities, and definitions of family. My practice is sex-positive, kink-affirming, and inclusive of polyamory and ethical non-monogamy. For families of all configurations, therapy can be a place to improve communication and nurture healthier relationships. I work with clients ages eight and up and also provide educational advocacy, helping students and parents navigate academic systems and resources.
My Belief
I see therapy as a collaborative partnership. Together, we'll clarify goals, identify strengths, and address barriers to your well-being. My aim is to create a relationship built on trust, humor, and mutual respect—where you feel heard, understood, and supported.
My Background
I hold a Master's in Social Work with a Trauma Therapy certification from Simmons University. Over the past twenty-five years, I have worked extensively with teens and families in a range of settings, including suicide crisis counseling, school-based therapy, and programs supporting youth transitioning from detention or inpatient mental health care. My background also includes focused work with Latin American immigrant communities, the LGBTQIA+ community, and individuals recovering from narcissistic abuse, personality disorders, and substance use challenges. I advocate for harm-reduction approaches and also train other therapists on building rapport with teens and navigating the school system.
My Self
Therapy can feel uncomfortable at first, and my goal is to create a space where you can feel safe and accepted. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand the challenges of feeling reduced to an identity and strive to ensure clients are always the experts on their own stories. I aim to listen deeply, stay curious, and let you define who you are in your own words.
